Leadership: Charlie believes that an effective leader is visionary, bold, innovative, and pragmatic. First and foremost, he believes that leaders must put people at the center of every decision. No matter what conditions exist, a leader strives to improve the quality of life for all he serves. Charlie is a servant to the people of Richmond County and those who employ his professional services. His actions are motivated by a desire to improve the world and create opportunities for all.
Education is life’s foundation. It all began at Augusta Technical College, where he pursued his diploma in Electrical Construction and Maintenance. He furthered his education, exemplified by his attendance at National Juris University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Master's in Tax Law and a Bachelor of Legal Studies.
Charlie is a property manager, professional management consultant, and legal research specialist. He serves on the Richmond County Board of Education and is the former president and chair of the building committee. . He is also an active member of the American Bar Association Division of Taxation and The committee for Fair and Public Housing.
Charlie is well-known for his passions relating to public and technical education, human rights, elder care, children, and equality for all. These issues are central convictions that he advocates for daily as he journeys through life. Other passions of Charlie are martial arts, where he is ranked 1st. Degree black belt in Tae-kwon-do and 6th. degree master status in Kemm-Aiki-Bujutsu. He no longer competes, but he does enjoy teaching a select group of young men and women the beautiful art fo self-defense, self-control, and discipline.
His present and past public services include serving as the President of the Richmond County Board of Education. He is a former appointee to the Augusta Canal Authority and Disadvantage Business Enterprise. IN addition, he is the recipient of a foster-parent of the year award.
